Castelo de Tavira

Tavira Castle is an ancient Islamic fortification, rebuilt in the 13th century by order of King Dinis. Now a National Monument, it preserves sections of the walls, medieval remains, and offers panoramic views over the city and river. A symbol of Tavira’s military and cultural heritage.
